The sun is out and the Vaalies are back. Summer is definitely here! With rising temperatures, it is important to stay cool and hydrated so why not do it in style with red espresso? Enjoy these halcyon days with delicious, quick, and easy red espresso summer recipes!

 

Rooibos Iced Latte

You will need:

How to prepare:

  1. Fill your glass with ice.
  2. Add 2/3 of your chosen milk.
  3. Prepare your red espresso® rooibos using your chosen method or coffee machine just like you would a cup of coffee.
  4. 💡 Tip: Add a squeeze of honey into the hot brew now if you enjoy the sweeter things in life.
  5. Pour red espresso® Rooibos over the ice and milk & stir.
  6. Sit back, relax, and enjoy your red espresso® Iced Latte!

 

Iced Chai Latte

You will need:

How to prepare:

  1. Fill your glass with ice.
  2. Add 25g Premium Spiced Chai Latte Powder & cold milk into a blender.
  3. Blend & pour over the ice.
  4. Serve, sit back & enjoy!

 

 

Iced Strawberry Infused Matcha

This recipe was developed by Vernon and Simóne, who are Vegan Lifestyle Bloggers from The Leaf Eaters in collaboration with red espresso®.

You will need:

  • 1 cup ice cubes.
  • 1 cup almond milk.
  • 3-5 drops of strawberry flavouring (depending on the brand and sweetness levels you like).
  • 2-3 drops of pink food colouring.
  • 1 tsp red espresso® Green Tea Matcha Latte Mix.
  • 30 ml hot water.
  • 100 ml almond milk.
  • Non-dairy whipped cream.

 

How to prepare:

  1. Mix the strawberry flavouring and pink food colouring with 1 cup of almond milk.
  2. Mix the green tea matcha with 30 ml hot water, and add 100 ml milk and froth until it’s foamy.
  3. Add ice cubes to your glass, then add the strawberry milk.
  4. Slowly add the frothed green tea matcha.
  5. Add the whipped cream on top (💡 Tip: use a piping bag).
  6. Serve and enjoy chilled.

 

Red Cappuccino popsicles with a Dark Chocolate Drizzle and Crushed Pistachio Nuts

You will need:

  • 8 heaped tsp of instant red espresso® Red Cappuccino Original Powder.
  • 50 ml hot water.
  • 500 ml cold milk of choice (dairy-, almond-, soy- and seed milk all work well).
  • 30 g of dark chocolate.
  • 1 tsp coconut oil.
  • ¼ cup of crushed pistachios.
  • Popsicle moulds.

 

How to prepare:

  1. In a large jug combine the instant red cappuccino powder and hot water and stir to combine then add the cold milk and stir well until all the powder has been dissolved.
  2. Pour into your popsicle moulds and place in the freezer to set overnight.
  3. Once the popsicles have set, melt the chocolate and coconut oil together in the microwave.
  4. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the popsicles, sprinkle with the chopped pistachios and enjoy!
