You’re probably familiar with pairing wine with cheese, or brandy with chocolate but would you believe it if someone told you that you could pair coffee with pizza? Experts are saying there’s no reason why the two can’t go hand-in-hand. What may quite possibly be the greatest two things on this planet should go together! If you’re keen on giving this a go, here’s which coffees and pizzas would pair best. A pizza with chicken toppings, mild sauce and medium spiciness should match well with a Dark roast, offering a bold and full-bodied taste to compliment the pizza. If you’re having a pizza with meat and heavier spices like Thai, Indian or Mexican with extra heat, you’ll want to go with an African blend, to enhance the spices and give you an intense flavour. Traditional pizzas with tomatoes, cheese and pepperoni or bacon would need a coffee with an earthy blend offering a smoky taste to emphasise the flavours of the pizza. Vegetarian pizzas would require a milder Latin American coffee. There you have a list for what could be your next dinner party, let us know if you give pizza and coffee pairing a go! An invitation would also be gladly appreciated ?
