Tchibo coffee capsules are a popular coffee brewing option for coffee lovers around the world, especially in the german coffee pod market. But there seems to be confusion around the size of Tchibo coffee capsules. And if Tchibo pod size fit Nespresso machines or even Dolce Gusto machines. Let’s just say, with all the coffee pod options out there today on the market, we truly understand how confusing coffee pod sizes and machine compatibility can be.
Nespresso and Dolce Gusto machines have become very popular in many kitchens, offering quick and easy access to a variety of delicious coffee flavours and blends in the form of a coffee pod that is inserted into the capsule coffee machine.
Again, with the sheer variety of coffee machines and coffee pods and capsules available, we tend to misjudge the compatibility of coffee capsules and the machines they fit in. One compatibility question that is frequently asked – is: do Tchibo coffee capsules fit in Nespresso and Dolce Gusto coffee capsule machines? Unfortunately, Tchibo coffee capsules do not fit any Nespresso nor Dolce Gusto pod machine.
Despite the capsules' outward similarity in size and shape, Tchibo coffee capsules lack the precise design and engineering required for compatibility with Nespresso and Dolce Gusto capsule machines.
The “issue” lies in the intricate design of Nespresso and Dolce Gusto systems; they’re designed to work with Nespresso or Dolce Gusto compatible coffee capsules only. That is sadly why Tchibo coffee pods do not fit in Nespresso or Dolce Gusto.
Tchibo does, however, offer a range of coffee capsules and pods! Their coffee capsules include a range for Cafissimo and Caffitaly coffee machines. Amongst Tchibo’s coffee offering are also coffee pods which work for several pod/pad coffee machines. However, in South Africa itself Tchibo does not have a footprint, so we recommend to rather get locally sold capsules for your coffee machine.
For any readers that might enjoy a filter or automatic/bean to cup coffee, Tchibo offers a range of filter coffees and coffee beans but again, those are usually only for sale overseas and not in the South African market.
Thankfully, with the wide range of coffee machines and coffees available in South Africa, we are always spoilt for choice. However, we just need to be sure to check on or query the compatibility to ensure we get the perfect coffee on hand that actually works well with our specific capsule coffee machine.
