Xmas in July

With the fireplace going and some holiday time on your heads, it’s easy to imagine what European winter would be like. Sip a hot chocolate and create this cute string of jingle bells for now or in half a years time! You need:

• 8, 10 or 12 used capsules
• Wooden beads
• String, can be of different colour
• Thick hessian string
• Needle
• Scissors

Method: 1 Peel the foil off the cups and throw in the recycling. 2 Clean the capsules (the coffee is great for the garden!) 3 Cut a strand of string of 20 cm per 2 capsules 4 Start with a double knot, then enough beads to be higher than the capsule’ depth 5 Thread through the capsule from within, and thread through the next one from it’s top 6 Match the same amount of beads as how you started 7 End the strand with a knot 8 Repeat for each pair of “bells” 9 Fold a long strand of thicker rope and make a knot at the top, creating a loop 10 Make a knot after 8 or 10 cm, tie a pair of bells on the the string, and secure with a second knot 11 Continue until all of them are on Hang next to the fireplace or use different colours to decorate a baby room.
