The Breakfast of Champions - Bacon and Maple flavoured Coffee anyone?

Posted on August 17, 2020

Are you a firm believer that breakfast is the most important meal of the day? Do you dream of having breakfast for every meal of every day? Well then breakfast lover... This Bacon & Maple Flavoured Coffee is for you.

We all know that coffee is one of the staple food groups that is a must-have with your breakfast. It is also quite hard to think of an aroma better than that of bacon cooking in the pan, but the idea of drinking bacon flavoured coffee has never crossed our minds, until we came across it on this American online coffee store. By the looks of it you can now enjoy the iconic sweet & savoury combination of Maple Syrup & Crisp Bacon infused in your coffee whenever you please. That’s right, you no longer have to enjoy these items as separate dishes, but rather infused into one drink of absolute bliss. This combo is most certainly going to make your wildest breakfast cravings a reality, making it possible to have breakfast for lunch, dinner and every other snack in between. To be honest, as weird and wonderful as this sounds, the concept doesn’t come as a surprise to us considering the country where it originated, but it sure does sound interesting and like it could possibly be delicious. Try it out and make some bacon & maple flavoured coffee creamer yourself, see recipe below. Ingredients:
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 4 strips of bacon, diced
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup or golden syrup
  • 1 pinch salt
Instructions:
  • In a pot, place thick cut bacon. Cook until almost crisp, drain grease.
  • Then sprinkle with salt and scrape the bottom of the pan to release flavour.
  • Add milk, whole and condensed, then follow with the rest of ingredients.
  • Heat until almost a boil, then lower heat to simmer for 45 minutes covered.
  • Strain through a cheesecloth into a ceramic creamer. Serve immediately in hot coffee or chill first for iced coffee.
Is this something you would try?
