Well we suggest you kick start your day the right way in 2017 with a truly delectable drink that will have you running to shops for more ingredients – you can’t go wrong with Caffeine and Bananas! Not only is this recipe absolutely more-ish but the ingredients make it Vegan, dairy-free, and naturally gluten-free. This Banana and Coffee smoothie is mouth-wateringly delicious but it’s also refreshing, healthy and filling.
Preparation Time: A quick 5 minutes Makes: Enough for 2 servings
You will need:
- 2 Ripe Bananas
- 125ml Freshly brewed Espresso, cold or room temperature
- 60ml Coconut Milk
- 2-3 Tablespoons Coconut Flakes for added sweetness (optional)
- Ice blocks (optional)
- Coconut Flakes for Sprinkles/Chocolate Syrup (optional)
Method:
- Place all ingredients in a blender
- Pulse on high until smooth and creamy consistency
- Add ice blocks to thicken and a little water to thin the liquid – depending on your preference
- Garnish with Coconut Flakes
- For a more luxurious option add a swirl of chocolate syrup on the top
Notes:
- Should you prefer a dairy option – replace the coconut milk with Milk
- For added dairy and protein - add a few tablespoons of Greek Yogurt to the mix.
