Yummy Coffee & Banana Delight

So, you’re back at work and rearing to go. Well we suggest you kick start your day the right way in 2017 with a truly delectable drink that will have you running to shops for more ingredients – you can’t go wrong with Caffeine and Bananas! Not only is this recipe absolutely more-ish but the ingredients make it Vegan, dairy-free, and naturally gluten-free. This Banana and Coffee smoothie is mouth-wateringly delicious but it’s also refreshing, healthy and filling.

 

Preparation Time: A quick 5 minutes Makes: Enough for 2 servings

You will need:

  • 2 Ripe Bananas
  • 125ml Freshly brewed Espresso, cold or room temperature
  • 60ml Coconut Milk
  • 2-3 Tablespoons Coconut Flakes for added sweetness (optional)
  • Ice blocks (optional)
  • Coconut Flakes for Sprinkles/Chocolate Syrup (optional)

Method:

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender
  2. Pulse on high until smooth and creamy consistency
  3. Add ice blocks to thicken and a little water to thin the liquid – depending on your preference
  4. Garnish with Coconut Flakes
  5. For a more luxurious option add a swirl of chocolate syrup on the top

Notes:

  • Should you prefer a dairy option – replace the coconut milk with Milk
  • For added dairy and protein - add a few tablespoons of Greek Yogurt to the mix.
